Corey Newhouse
Corey Newhouse is Public Profit’s Founder and Principal. Ms. Newhouse has a wide range of experience in evaluating programs that serve children and families. Ms. Newhouse earned her Bachelor’s degree from Columbia College and her Master’s degree from the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley.
Prior to founding Public Profit, Corey managed the evaluation division of Hatchuel Tabernik and Associates (HTA) where she was responsible for managing and performing dozens of youth service organization evaluation contracts totaling more than $1 million annually. Subsequent to her work at HTA, Ms. Newhouse was a Senior Policy Associate at Children Now where she was responsible for the development and publication of several widely released research reports.
Cimone Satele
Cimone Satele is Public Profit’s Research Associate, leading our evaluation of school-based out-of-school time programs in Oakland and Alameda, along with evaluations of several Professional Learning Communities for youth workers. Ms. Satele has extensive experience as an educational programs evaluator, with expertise working with large public data files, conducting site visits, and a variety of qualitative research methods. Prior to joining Public Profit, Ms. Satele was a part of the evaluation and research teams at SRI, Mason Tillman Associates, and The Education Trust-West.
Jessica Manta-Meyer
Jessica Manta-Meyer is Public Profit's Research Associate, leading our evaluation studies of out-of-school time programs in San Francisco. Ms. Manta-Meyer brings several years of experience creating, directing and evaluating a range of social service and health programs, including publicly funded after school programs. Prior to joining Public Profit, Jessica administered three comprehensive after-school programs in Oakland, including financial and program reporting, human resources, and agency-led evaluations.
Peter Neely
Peter Neely is a Research Associate at Public Profit, leading our case study work with the Summer Matters Learning Communitie and our evaluation of community-based youth development programs in Oakland. Peter has professional experience in conducting evaluation, assessment and strategic planning efforts on behalf of non-profit and public-sector clients in human services and public health. Mr. Neely has demonstrated expertise in survey design as well as qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
Jasmine Freese
Jasmine Freese is Public Profit's Data Coordinator, providing ongoing data management and analysis services for our large multi-site evaluations in San Francisco and Oakland. Jasmine is an experienced data manager and analyst with deep roots in public health and community change initiatives, with a special talent for finding smart solutions to sticky data problems.
Julie Lo
Julie Lo is Public Profit's Research Assistant, responsible for coordinating data collection activities ranging from site visits, to interviews, to surveys. Ms. Lo has advanced training in Tableau, our favorite data dashboard software program. An expert organizer and process-thinker, Julie comes to Public Profit after a decade in the music industry.
Jade Smith-Williams
Jade Smith-Williams is Public Profit's Research Assistant, responsible for coordinating data collection activities ranging from site visits, to interviews, to surveys. A master of project management and MS Excel, Jade joins the team with experience as a paralegal and all-star point guard for UC Irvine.
Field Staff & Associates
Our fantastic field staff includes distinguished educators and youth workers, who lead structured site visits to out-of-school time programs. In 2011-12, our site visitors are Katie Baer, Christina Costelo and Dominique Millette.
We are fortunate to collaborate with seasoned evaluators on specific projects, leveraging their expertise in specific kinds of youth and family programs or analytic methods. Public Profit currently collaborates with Heidi Sommer, Moira DeNike and Patricia Reyes.
